Dr. R.M. Damgir has a vast experience in a field of civil engineering of 32 years.He is a Retired Professor of Civil Engineering , Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad. He is Former Head Civil Engineering and Dean Industry Institute Interaction. He has provided Civil Engineering Services to many Organizations such as PWD, Airport, Railway Department, CIDCO, PMGSY, NHAI, MSRDC ,Zilla Parishad ,Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (MJP) and various Corporations and Nagar Parishad, etc. Also he worked as State Technical Agency for PMGSY under Ministry of Rural Development GoI. Also he carried out Road Safety Audit for National Highway.

He is a member of Transport 4 all under Ministry of Urban & Housing,,GoI. He is working as Road Safety Auditor under MoRTH. He worked on Nagarotthan Schemes of State and District level for State of Maharashtra. He has published his works in various National and International Journals.

Also He has completed trainings on Pavement designs, Road Safety ,Bridge Engineering ,Structural Dynamics, Earthquake Engineering, Design of Earthquake Resistant Structures , Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering , Building Construction, etc. of 38 Weeks at CSIR- CRRI New Delhi, IAHE New Delhi, IIT Roorkee, IIT Mumbai, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IISc Banglore and at different NITs. He is Second National Award Winner at IIT Delhi (2017) and IIT Mumbail (2019) on Road Safety.
